Care Diary does not use authenticator apps such as Google Authenticator or Authy. When two-factor authentication (2FA) is on, Care Diary emails a 6-digit verification code to the user’s registered address after they sign in.
This guide explains how a company administrator turns that protection on.
Who can turn on 2FA
Someone with permission to update the company profile can enable two-factor authentication for the whole company. After it is on, everyone who signs into that company must enter the email code.
Enable 2FA for your company
Sign in to the Care Diary website.
Select Settings, then Company Profile.
Find Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
Turn the switch on. The description explains that users must enter a code sent to their email to complete login.
Select Save in the top-right corner.
You can also follow the published guide How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication.
What users see next
The next time someone signs in (or switches into a company that requires 2FA), Care Diary shows Enter Code. They enter the 6-digit email code and select Verify. See Sign in using 2FA.
