Care Diary

Chat lets staff message each other in Care Diary using direct messages, team chats and groups. It works on the website and in the Care Diary app.

You need the Use chat role ability to open Chat.

Select the Chat icon in the top navigation.

The Chat page opens at /chat. Select Close chat (same icon) to leave.

Select the floating chat button (message icon).

Direct message — one-to-one chat with another staff member

Team Chat — linked to a Care Diary team; membership follows the team

Group — custom group for selected staff
