How to add Resource for different forms in Care diary?

Care Diary allows you to show extra information to your staff while they are creating or editing data in a form using a feature we call resources. There are three types of resources you add to a form. 1) Text 2) Link 3) Attachment. You can also assign the same resource to multiple forms.

Create and assign resources to a form

  1. Login to the Care Diary login page and go to Settings using the left menu. Under Operations & Rostering, click on Resources.

  2. Click on the + Add button.


  3. You will be redirected to the Create Resource page. Enter the required details such as:

    • Date

    • Staff

    • Collection types (select the forms where the resource should appear)

    • Title

    1. Text – Add written instructions or guidance directly in the text field

    2. Link – Enter a URL for external reference

    3. Attachment – Upload a file such as a PDF or document

  4. Click Create to save the resource.

View assigned resources

  1. To view the added resources; Go to the relevant form (e.g. Reports > ABC Logs).

  2. Click on Add or try to edit an existing record and you should see all the assigned resources in the top right corner. You can now click on any resource to view the information about that resource.
